“Now pray that there is peace in valley and people live in harmony,” he said. “I prey that there should not be any bombings. Be it our person dying or theirs, a mother loses her son. Then later you honor him by Param Veer Chakra or any other Gallantry award, the mother won’t get her son back,” he added.
“We are paying for the mistakes committed by our elders”
Talking about Article 370, he also hit out at the Nehru Gandhi family. He hinted that former Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was responsible for the Kashmir issue. “Our elders committed some mistakes. Today, we are paying for that,” Hans Raj Hans said. Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi he said that it may sound strange to some but JNU should be renamed as MNU. “There should be something after Modi ji’s name as well,” he said as the audience clapped.
However, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari said that Hans Raj Hans might have made the comment in excitement. “At times people say things out of excitement, but that does not mean one would follow it,” Tiwari said.
