Reservation not a solution: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Nagpur | Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis answering questions on the recently passed 16% reservation to the Marathas, claimed that reservation is not a solution because the government can only give out 25000 jobs yearly.

In an interview taken at Agatik Marathi Sammelan, Fadnavis said,” If a reservation is given to every community, even then government jobs can’t be given to 90% of the young generation. The government can give only 25,000 jobs per year. Reservation is not a solution”, as quoted by the ANI.

Later when asked about changing times and job shortage and the shift in the skills required in the modern times, he said that if Artificial intelligence has taken away the jobs of 23 crore people, it has also created 25 crore jobs. He further continued by saying that in the future days more such jobs will be created but we will not have the manpower that these skills require.
