RJD expels Shankar Charan Tripathi for criticising Rahul Gandhi’s hug to PM Modi

Patna | Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) on Monday expelled its National Spokesperson Shankar Charan Tripathi for criticising Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s act of hugging Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the No-confidence motion in Lok Sabha.

Shankar Tripathi on a private television called the Congress president act ‘childish’. He also alleged Rahul Gandhi for lying and putting baseless allegations on the NDA government and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman over Rafale deal in the House.

The Congress and the RJD are allies in Bihar and an RJD leader criticising the Congress’ president could prove fatal for the relation between both the allies in Bihar.

Rahul Gandhi on Friday after his speech in Lok Sabha during the No-confidence motion issued by TDP over the Special status of Andhra Pradesh walked towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s seat and gave the Prime Minister a hug. This left the entire house amazed, after returning to his seat he was then seen winking at someone in the House.

Meanwhile, RJD chief Tej Pratap Yadav also congratulated Rahul Gandhi for unearthing their (BJP) mines of lies and a fantastic speech.”
