He said that said people need not be worried about their identity after the steps taken by the Centre.
Satya Pal Malik also pointed out towards the sharp decline of stone-pelting incidents after Friday’s Eid prayers.
He, however, said reasonable restrictions are put in place to maintain the law and order situation in the Valley.
An officer from the city said that restrictions have been eased in Kashmir, including Srinagar, but they are still upheld in the Valley which is a delicate region.
Centre has removed all the restrictions in Jammu, while some are still in place in Kashmir. After the announcement of abrogation of Article 370, Jammu and Kashmir were in lockdown, and security was heavily beefed up. Sporadic incidents of violence have been reported so far.
