Sharad Pawar Predicts Shinde Government In Maharashtra May Fall In Six Months

Shard Pawar

He further said, Mr. Sharad Pawar also pointed out that the failure of this experiment will lead to several rebel MLAs returning to their original party.

Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar on Sunday said that mid-term polls are likely in Maharashtra as the newly formed government led by rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde may fall in the next six months.

He made the statement while addressing NCP legislators and other leaders of the party in Mumbai in the evening.

The NCP chief said”The newly-formed government in Maharashtra may fall in the next six months, hence all should be ready for mid-term polls,” according to an NCP leader.”

“Pawar said that many rebel legislators who are supporting Shinde are not happy with the current arrangement. Once the ministerial portfolios are distributed, their unrest will come out, which will ultimately result in the collapse of the government,” he added.

He further said, Mr. Sharad Pawar also pointed out that the failure of this experiment will lead to several rebel MLAs returning to their original party. If we have merely six months in our hands, NCP legislators should spend more time in their respective assembly constituencies.

Mr. Shinde was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Thursday following the collapse of the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government, while senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis took oath as Mr. Shinde’s deputy.

Meanwhile, another Sena MLA Santosh Bangar reached hotel Taj President in Mumbai last night and joined the Shinde camp.

Gyanvapi Mosque Row, Hearing To Continue Today

Aleesha Sam

The legal rep for the Hindu side, Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, stated “Muslim side will continue with its arguments. According to them, the case is not maintainable, but we’ve said that it’s maintainable.”

Varanasi: The hearing on the Gyanvapi situation will restart in the district court in Varanasi today. The Varanasi District Court postponed until July the hearing on the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee’s request to dismiss a lawsuit brought by five Hindu women on May 30.

Hindu side Representative, Adv. Vishnu Shankar Jain stated , “Muslim side will continue with its arguments. According to them, the case is not maintainable, but we’ve said that it’s maintainable … Our demand to grant worship there is legally valid.”

A number of court decisions were referenced by the attorney for Anjuman Intezamia Masjid to back up his claim that the Places of Worship Act of 1991 precludes the maintainability of a lawsuit brought by Hindu women.

The Masjid Committee’s arguments to deny the accusations made in the civil litigation regarding the Gyanvapi Mosque were not successful and will be continued today.

The District Judge’s court had stated that the case would be handled in accordance with the Supreme Court’s instructions when scheduling the hearing on the Gyanvapi-Shringar Gauri complex case’s consistency.

The Muslim side maintained that the sculpture was a component of the fountain at the mosque’s wuzu khana location, while the Hindu side claimed that a Shivling (a depiction of Lord Shiva) was located inside the mosque boundaries.

A civil court in Varanasi has, in the meantime, ordered the masjid committee to respond to a different legal lawsuit that seeks the right to pray inside the mosque grounds.

Mahendra Kumar Pandey, a Civil Judge in the Senior Division of the Fast Track Court, set the petition for July 8 to be heard.

The primary case would take a long time to be tried, therefore Lord Aadi Vishweshar Viraajman filed this lawsuit through their close friend Kiran Singh, who had said that the Hindu worshippers should be allowed unhindered access to the mosque grounds during this period.
