Should I fight from Varanasi? Priyanka Gandhi Vadra asks party workers

Ayodhya | Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is currently in the Uttar Pradesh for rallies. She visited Faizabad in Ayodhya, concluding her three-day tour.

Addressing the rally she advised the people to be smart when voting when and claimed that this election is “to save the democracy”.

Slamming the BJP, she said that they do not have time for their own people.

“I asked people if PM visits villages in Varanasi, I got a reply ‘he does not visit’. I was surprised because his publicity is such that I thought he must have been doing something”, she said.

In a reference to the controversy of Prime Minister Modi embracing the world leaders, she accused PM Modi of not hugging his own people.

Gandhi also slammed PM Modi’s alleged friendship with some businessmen, she claimed,” They work only for the benefit of a handful of businessmen and industrialists, but has not got the time for the poor, the needy, the farmers”

She also accused the BJP of doing political stints, “This government is anti-democracy, anti-people and anti-institution, and can go to any extent for power”

Priyanka Gandhi reached Ayodhya today, where the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid site is located. Previously, on March 21 she had completed a three-day river ride campaign from Prayagraj to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi.
