New Delhi | Crisis-ridden Congress party’s chief Rahul Gandhi asked the top leaders to take one month but find his replacement.
The severe impact of the massive defeat in Lok Sabha polls has shaken up the entire party, starting from its core leadership.
Rahul Gandhi is time and again insisting on stepping down from his post, even when leaders have knocked his doors to convince him otherwise.
Sources now say that Rahul Gandhi has told a top party leader to take some time, probably a month, but find his definitive replacement.
He also clarified the speculations and said that his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will not be the party chief, and keep her out of it.
He will, however, work in the party in the Lok Sabha as and when needed.
