Mumbai | BJP veteran L K Advani’s former aide Sudheendra Kulkarni on Monday stated that if Donald Trump and Kim Jong can have a dialogue why can’t Congress and RSS.
At the launch event of Senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid’s book ‘Spectrum Politics’, Kulkarni referred to former Rashtriya Syawamsevak Sangh(RSS) chief M S Golwalkar’s interview from the ‘Organizer’ by K Malkani saying that there is a need to initiate a dialogue between Congress and RSS. He further added that very prominent people from the RSS were opposed to Uniform Civil Code.
While commenting on the India-Pakistan relation, Kulkarni said that there is a need for the normalisation of India Pakistan relations for India to become a superpower. “Pakistan has paid a much higher price of terrorism and religious extremism than we have,” he added.
The former BJP leader also spoke about the misuse of the constitutional agencies by the political parties. “All political parties need to look at the institutions we have created. CBI and CAG are the important constitutional agencies and political parties cannot resist the temptation of misusing them.”He further added that for our development to be balanced and healthy these institutions need to be kept in their limits.”
