“Varun Gandhi Fond Of Giving Personal Opinions”: Union Minister Tomar Flames Varun Gandhi

Narendra Singh Tomar responded to Gandhi who tweeted, “can we, the MLAs/MPs, give up our pension to ensure that Agniveers get a pension”

Gwalior: On Tuesday, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar of the BJP flamed colleague and fellow Lok Sabha BJP MP Varun Gandhi.

The union minister dragged Varun Gandhi’s responses on various instances that didn’t quite stand along the BJP’s agenda.

Responding on Twitter to Varun Gandhi’s statement of “can we, the MLAs/MPs, give up our pension to ensure that Agniveers get a pension”, the Minister replied that Gandhi was often “fond of giving personal opinions on a daily basis”.

Last week, Varun Gandhi challenged the rationale for post-retirement benefits for elected officials given that those selected for the Centre’s Agnipath military recruitment programme will not receive pension when their four-year tenure is finished.

Gandhi, the Pilibhit MP who has been vocal about the fresh military recruitment scheme asked in a tweet, “can we, the MLAs/MPs, give up our pension to ensure that Agniveers get a pension”.

When enquired about Gandhi’s statement, the Union Minister replied, “This can be his personal opinion as he is fond of giving personal opinions on a daily basis.”

“BJP has no interference in Maharashtra”, added the Union Minister when asked about the –present Shiv Sena rebellion in Maharashtra.

Tomar, the Union Minister of Agriculture asserted that BJP will sweep the local polls in Madhya Pradesh, as several development works have been undertaken in the state.
