Jaipur | The Gujjar agitation has entered the fourth day today, and Ashok Gehlot has reacted to the Gujjar leader Kirori Singh Bainsla’s threats regarding the agitation, that they will not leave until the government gives the a 5% reservation.

Bainsla further adds, “It’s my personal request to govt, don’t do anything which can provoke people of Rajasthan, people are waiting for my instructions. let’s sort it out in a peaceful manner. The earlier the better”, as quoted by the ANI.

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot pointed out that it is the country which is at loss, as multiple trains have been diverted and cancelled. He appealed that the leader should start a talk with the government and they will do whatever they can to help.

Gehlot also said that they need to voice out their demands to the Centre, and it’s up to the Centre what decision they take.

Their protest had turned violent on Sunday when shots were fired and police vehicles were torched in Dholpur district, forcing authorities to impose prohibitory orders under CrPc section 144 in Dholpur and Karauli districts. It still remains in force in the areas.

On Monday, the agitators blocked NH-11 and continued their blockade from previous days at other places. Since the agitation began on Friday, it has affected the movement of more than 250 trains.
