Srinagar | District Magistrate, Srinagar, Shahid Choudhary, has released a couple of phone numbers for Kashmiris to reach out to their families living in Kashmir.
The numbers are 9419028242 and 9419028251.
DC Office #Srinagar has established 2 helplines 9419028242, 9419028251. Residents/Students outside state can contact. Families back home are also using these lines to reach out.

He responded to a tweet, which asked him how a group of girls who wanted to travel to South Kashmir, could contact their family or relatives. He replied, “Sure. Pl SMS pick-up address /Time/number of passengers to 9419151189 or 9419028242”.
He also announced that the in-and-out transport was working smoothly.

He also informed people about people wanting to travel out of Kashmir.
“Workers intending to visit homes in other states are being facilitated. 56 buses carrying 1940 passengers moved yesterday. More today”, he wrote.

All the personal communication lines including landlines and internet have been cut off, along with a curfew and tightened security.
