Watch Azam Khan’s Hilarious Reaction On Lulu Mall Controversy

The UP Police lodged an FIR under sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups) and 295A (deliberate act intended to outrage religious feelings) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Uttar Pradesh: Samajwadi Pary leader Azam Khan was on Thursday asked about his take on the Lulu Mall controversy, to which he responded by saying he is neither aware of Lulu nor has he ever been to a mall. He further told the reporter to ask those who are aware.

“Is this a question?Ā  do you have no other work?.” He added.

Last week,TheĀ  Lucknow Police arrested four men for allegedly offering namaz in theĀ  Lulu Mall in the city . All four alleged namazis (one who offers namaz/prayer) are Muslims and are being questioned.

The UP Police lodged an FIR under sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups) and 295A (deliberate act intended to outrage religious feelings) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against a group of unidentified people who allegedly offered namaz at the mall recently.

The Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha,Ā  had objected to people offering Namaz inside the mall and sought permission from the mall authorities to recite Hanuman Chalisa as a counter. However,Ā  the request was rejected.

The mall authorities also put up notices across the property declaring, “No religious prayers will be permitted in the mall.

Some groups have accused the mall owner of being biased towards the Muslim community however, the management denied the allegations by providing data on those employed with it.

ā€œLulu Mall respects all religions and any kind of worshipping is not permitted here. In this regard, we provide strict training to our staff to keep an eye on such incidents.ā€Said Sameer Verma, General Manager of Lulu Mall.

UP CM, Yogi Aditynath,Ā  inaugurated the mall on July 10, the mall is run by Abu Dhabi-based Lulu Group of Indian-origin billionaire Yussuf Ali MA.
