Bengaluru| Jitu Patwari and Lakhan Singh, who went to Bengaluru to meet the rebel MLAs of Madhya Pradesh, were arrested by Karnataka police on Thursday. Both were later released by the police. Both leaders had arrived here to meet the MLAs of Jyotiraditya Scindia faction. Jitu Patwari held a press conference after being released from custody. He said, “Is it a sin to meet friends?” At the same time, Congress MP Vivek Tankha alleged that the minister was beaten up.

Jitu Patwari said: – “Some Congress MLAs wanted to meet us. My cousin Manoj Chaudhary has also been kept here. I came to see my brother here, but we were stopped. If we want to meet our friends, is it a sin? Why are we not being allowed to meet? It was Shivkumar ji, who saved us from the arrest of the police.

Manoj Chaudhary was not even allowed to meet his father. “The BJP has put pressure on Chaudhary. We will go to the Supreme Court on this matter. He said that the police was working under the pressure of BJP. Patwari had agreed to leave with 9-10 MLAs. But, working under the pressure of the BJP, the police misbehaved with the ministers and took them into custody.”
