Congress Spokesperson Khera said that the party diluted Article 370 ‘not once or twice’ but without letting any controversy break out.
In a strange claim, Congress Spokesperson Pawan Khera claimed that the party “diluted or abrogated” Article 370 which provided special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir as many as twelve times. He further said that Congress did it without creating any controversy. Khera was addressing a press conference in Dehradun on Sunday.

Khera said that dialogue and conversation are important to run the country’s affairs. “Country’s affairs cannot be run through controversies,” he said. He said that the ruling party BJP does not understand as it’s founded on controversies.
When asked whether party’s stand on the issue, he denied. He said that Congress’ view on Article 370 has not changed at all. However, it will object to the way the BJP government abrogated it.
It was on August 5 when the Central government abrogated Article 370 from the state of Jammu and Kashmir bifurcating it into two Union Territories-Ladakh and J&K.
