Earlier to this, two party ministers Gajapathi Raju and Y. S. Chowdary have resigned before the central government. TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has also decided to issue a no-confidence motion in the Parliament tomorrow.

According to News 18, CM Chandrababu Naidu will take this decision to pull out of NDA in the politburo meeting in Amravati tomorrow. According to the sources, party members including MPs, MLAs have informed Naidu to exit NDA. TDP leader Kambhampati Rammohan Rao said, “This is the final option. The CM is livid that instead of resolving issues faced by the state, the BJP is indulging in dirty politics that it played in Tamil Nadu’’.

TDP has been seeking a special status for Andhra Pradesh for the past four years. This demand started with the formation of a new state (Telangana), but Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had refused to grant any special status to Andhra Pradesh. Jaitley confirmed that only special package will be given to Andhra.

Andhra Pradesh assembly elections are going to be held parallelly with Lok Sabha elections in 2019.Under these circumstances, the TDP has taken an aggressive stance on the incomplete promises made by Modi government.
