Editorial with Sujit Nair: Is The Farmers’ Protest Justified?

Over 500 Farmers organization and over 2,00,000 farmers have joined the Delhi Chalo march. Farmers across the country, especially from Punjab and Haryana have been protesting for the last two months since the Modi govt introduced the farm bills. Punjab farmers had even staged a rail roko for days when the talks at the table failed because the agricultural minister of the country who is supposed to listen to their concerns and find a solution never turned up. Though the congress govt of Punjab has passed law to negate Centre’s farm laws, it does little to help the Farmers in addressing their concerns. Tus farmers are marching to Delhi in hope to meet the representatives of the govt. From young to old, Men to women, so many from Punjab and haryana have joined the call.
In this episode of the Editorial, our managing editor Mr Sujit Nair Shares his take on the matter
