The countries of Britain, France and USA asked the UN Security Council to enlist Masood Azhar as a global terrorist, but China, somehow refused saying it won’t declare Azhar a terrorist as yet. China has a veto power which works in its favour for not enlisting Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. Rahul Gandhi, on the other hand, tweeted that in spite of China not declaring Masood Azhar a global terrorist, PM Modi does not seem to be bending his rules when it comes to appeasing China. BJP retorted, it was Nehru who refused the UN Security Council’s offer of India being given a veto power. Question is, did Nehru really decline the offer? Mr. Sujit Nair, Managing Editor of HW News Network, shares his insights on the matter.
