Headlines: Haryana Ally of BJP Nudges Centre, Asks To Find “Middle Ground” With Farmers

In the wake of protests by farmers of Punjab over the new agricultural laws, the Northern Railways have either cancelled, short-terminated, short-originated or diverted a few trains, while Chilla border on Noida-link road has been closed for vehicular movement. Delhi traffic police added that Tikri border, Jharoda border, Jhatikra border are also shut. Badusarai border is open only for two-wheeler traffic. This comes as the deadlock over the crisis continues with representatives of 35 agitating organisations vowing to intensify the stir. The Centre will hold another round of discussions with crop growers on Thursday (December 3) as the meeting held at Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan a day earlier ended without any solution.
