Headlines: India’s Coronavirus Numbers At 70,000; Lowest Since April 1

India on Monday reported 70,421 new Coronavirus cases, 1.9 lakh recoveries and 3,921 deaths in the last 24 hours, a statement of the health ministry said. The daily cases have been lowest since April 1 as the country is seeing a decline of the Covid-19 infections. Delhi, Haryana and Tamil Nadu permitted more activities from Monday as the easing of restrictions by states gained momentum following a decline in active cases. Karnataka will also begin the unlock process, barring in 11 districts, from Monday, with the opening of parks and industrial units with riders, besides other relaxations. After two consecutive weeks of decline in Covid-19 deaths, India registered a 19 percent rise in the week ending on Sunday.
