“After weeks of Political crisis in the state of Maharashtra, it was on 30th June that Rebel Shivsena leader Eknath Shinde took oath as Chief Minister of the state, whereas Devendra Fadnavis of the BJP took oath as the Deputy CM of the state. It has been more than 20 Days since then, Maharashtra still has no cabinet. There are only 2 ministers in Mahrashtra cabinet. Chief Minister and Deputy CM. The state does not yet have a dedicated minister handling portfolios like Finance, Home, PWD, Agriculture, Education etc. This two minister govt has certainly raised eyebrows, especially when Shinde-Fadnavis govt is already facing criticism over hasty swearing in. So why hasn’t Maharashtra yet got its cabinet? Why is it being delayed and what does constitution say?
