A 24-year-old female trainee flight attendant of Air India was found dead with her throat slit at her flat of NG Housing Society located on Krishanlal Marwah Marg in Marol area of suburban Andheri. The body of a girl was recovered in suspicious condition from a building in Mumbai’s Powai police station area on Sunday. Rupal Ogre, a resident of Chhattisgarh, was staying at the flat with her sister and sister’s boyfriend. Both of them had gone to their native place eight days ago for a personal reason. The victim’s sister and her friend had left for their native village eight days back. The woman who came to Mumbai in April was a trainee air hostess with Air India airline, according to the police. As per a PTI report, The matter came to light after the woman did not answer calls from her family members, following which they reached out to their local friends in Mumbai. When the family’s local friends reached there and knocked on the door, no one responded. Later, they went to Powai police station and with their help opened the flat with a duplicate key. When the door was opened, The woman was found lying with her throat slit and was immediately taken to Rajawadi Hospital, where the doctors declared her brought dead. Police have arrested an accused of murder. The accused used to do cleaning work in the same society. He has accepted his crime. Although the reason for the murder has not been revealed yet. The police are engaged in questioning the accused. When asked about this shocking incident this is what DCP Dutta Nalawade has said. Powai police station was successful in uncovering the murder within 12 hours. A case of murder has been registered against the accused under IPC section 302. The accused and his wife are being interrogated. Apart from this, the police are also interrogating other people living in the society to investigate all aspects.
