“Congress and Rahul Gandhi are currently in Maharashtra on Bharat Jodo Yatra. The Yatra began from Kanyakumari and will go all the way to Kashmir. When the schedule of this Bharat Jodo Yatra was rolled out, one could see that the yatra passes from all the five southern states, then to Maharashtra and from Maharashtra to Madhya Pradesh. The Yatra’s route skipped the two poll-bound states of Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. Throughout the Bharat Jodo Yatra this question has been asked to various leaders of the Congress. Why does Bharat Jodo Yatra not pass through poll bound states of Gujarat and Himachal. Especially Gujarat because this is where Congress had put up a spirited fight against BJP last time around. From Rahul gandhi to Communication dept chief Jairam Ramesh had the same answer: That Bharat Jodo yatra is different from elections and that the party doesn’t want its entire machinery in Gujarat to be focused on Rahul Gandhi. But as the date of polling for Gujarat comes closer, seems like party has given a rethought to the idea of keeping Rahul Gandhi away from Gujarat election campaigning. Rahul Gandhi is now expected to campaign for the party in the state on November 22nd. In today’s video, we talk about what led to this change of heart in Congress camp? Why is Rahul going to Gujarat after denying the same in the past? and what could possibly be congress’ strategy behind this??
