Ballia Shootout: BJP MLA Defends Close Aide and BJP Worker Accused of Firing Bullets

A man was shot dead in front of local officials on Thursday in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia over a dispute, the police said, after which Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered a suspension of officials present.
46-year-old Jaiprakash was allegedly shot dead by Dhirendra Singh, a BJP worker said to be close to party MLA Surendra Singh. A stampede followed after the shooting that has been captured in a video. Dramatic visuals show a large number of people on a field as three rounds are fired. People are seen panickingand running frantically in the 5-second video.
