BJP’s Double Standards? When Not Letting Parliament Function Was “A Part of Democracy”

The current monsoon session of the parliament has seen multiple disruptions over opposition protest. The united opposition has been demanding discussion over Pegasus Snooping, farm laws, covid management and rising fuel prices. The govt however is not ready to budge. Prime Minister Modi addressing the BJP MPs Accused the grand old party of not allowing the parliament to function. He also asked BJP MPs to “expose the party before the public and the media”. In his latest meeting, he accused the opposition of insulting the parliament. He said that repeated adjournments forced by a vociferous opposition were “”an insult to the constitution… to democracy and to the public””. PM Modi also said that it is an insult that the opposition not letting the parliament function.
