“We can do nothing further. It’s futile,” wails Judge Loya’s brother

Judge Loya’s brother who has expressed his sorrow after the Supreme Court declined any further probe in the investigation of the controversial case says he has resigned to his fate. It is clear from his tone that there is nothing else he can do from here.

“We have nothing to say… Whatever has happened, has happened. What can we do now?” said Judge BH Loya’s brother Srinivas Loya, who is currently residing in Latur.

At the time of his death, Judge Loya was conducting a trial in a case related to the killing of criminal Sohrabuddin Sheikh in which one of the accused was now BJP president Amit Shah, who was then home minister in Gujarat.

“The best is we will not say anything in the matter now. How will it help? We can do nothing further… It’s futile,” the mourning brother of the deceased added.

Earlier in the day, the bench said there was absolutely no merit in the petition and Judge Loya had met a natural death.
