The Maharashtra government today said salons will be allowed to open in the state from June 28, but only for haircuts. No shaving will be allowed, and wearing face masks will be mandatory. Earlier, Maharashtra minister Aslam Shaikh at a cabinet meeting said gyms and salons will open this week in the state. All such facilities have remained shut since the nationwide lockdown was first imposed late in March.
