Farmers’ Protest Day 6: Government Proposes To Form A Committee, Next Round of Talks On December 3

As the farmers’ protest enters Day 6, the government seems to be in a damage control mode. The Farmers gathered in large numbers at the borders of the national capital with their trucks, trolleys and tempos and have said that they will not leave the spot unless the government agrees to repeal the three farm laws. On Monday, the protest reverberated even on a global stage with several Sikh MPs from Canada who trace their roots to Punjab voicing their concern about the way the protestors were dealt with water cannons, batons and tear gas.
So the government had to move to end the deadlock and today they invited the farmer organizations leaders for talks at Vigyan Bhavan. Before that Amit Shah, Narendra Singh Tomar and JP Nadda held talks.
