“Instead of Shedding Crocodile Tears,Opposition Should Apologize To Nation”: 7 Ministers Defend Govt

“Shameful scenes unfolded in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday evening as the Opposition and the ruling party once again locked horns. The Rajya Sabha was discussing the General Insurance Business (Nationalisation) Amendment Bill, 2021, when a clamouring opposition was allegedly manhandled by Marshals. Not Only that, the opposition has accused that outside people were called in who manhandled the MPs inside the parliament, these included women MPs too. Here’s the video from inside the Rajya Sabha chamber. It can be clearly seen that a group of MPs are trying to push through the human wall created by Marshals. More Marshals are being called in to block the MPs from moving. There are some women MPs too. Yesterday, TMC MP derek O’brien alleged that the marshals used Gender Shield to prevent the MPs from protesting inside the parliament. He said that Male marshals were posted in front of women MPs while Female marshals posted in front of male MPs. However, the Govt issued a clarification on yesterday’s instances. It said that the opposition had pre-planned the yesterday’s disruption with an objective of insulting the parliament. 7 union ministers defended the Govt saying, the opposition must apologise for “”disruptive (and) threatening behaviour””. Instead of shedding crocodile tears, the opposition should feel shame and come out to apologise to the people of this nation,”” Union Minister Anurag Thakur said. Union Minister Piyush Goyal has said no outsider was brought in when a scuffle broke out in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. He said, “”Wrong information being shared that outsiders who aren’t part of Parliamentary security were brought in.”” He accused the Opposition of staging a ‘drama’. He also said that the security was beffed up for the chair’s protection.
