Hello viewers, today, we are once again focusing on the topic of Arnab Chat Gate. A sessions court is Mumbai dismissed the bail application of Partho Dasgupta, ex-CEO of the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), who was arrested in the alleged Television Rating Points (TRP) scam case on December 24, 2020. His application for bail reserved for orders, on Tuesday, after the Mumbai Police vehemently argued against granting him bail. Special Public Prosecutor Shishir Hirey read out several Watsapp chats between Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami and Dasputa to display their ‘proximity.’Now let’s go back a little and put this in sequence. Remember Arnab Goswami calling Maharashtra CM ” Aey Uddhav Thackeray and Mumbai Police commissioner as “Aey Paramvir Singh”? Remember how he came up with the conspiracy theory to allegedly link Aditya Thackeray and thereby Maharashtra govt and Maharashtra police to Sushant Singh Rajput Suicide case?
What happened after that? Maharashtra govt under MahaVikas Aghadi led by ShivSena reopened the case of abetment of suicide of architect Anvay Naik in which he had named Arnab Goswami. It was ShivSena leader Pratap Sarmnaik who requested Maharashtra police to look into the matter. It was anil parab, again ShivSena leader who moved the privilege motion against Goswami in Maharashtra assembly. ShivSena MP Sanjay Raut even said that Arnab Goswami is a BJP worker and Republic TV its loudspeaker.
Surprisingly, Arnab in his statement nowhere blames ShivSena or the NCP whose leader Anil Deshmukh is handling Home Ministry for what he calls his targeting. Instead he chooses to slam congress. In this video, we try to understand Arnab Goswami’s reaction.
