The ministry of human resource development on Wednesday announced the much-awaited New National Education Policy. Five years after the committee was formed the union cabinet on Wednesday passed the policy. This policy will now replace the existing education policy that was introduced 34 years ago in 1986 during former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s tenure. Our entire education system was run based on the policy. But that has been changed with the aim of bringing about some major reforms.
