Jammu and kashmir liberation front chairman Yasin Malik was detained last night amid indications of a wider crackdown on separatists in jammu and kashmir. Malik’s detention comes ahead of crucial hearing on Article 35-A in Supreme Court that is likely to take place on Monday. Among its other provisions, Article 35A bars people from outside Jammu and Kashmir acquire any immovable property in the state. Malik was arrested from his residence and has been taken to the Police Station.
