Shameful! MP Journalists Allegedly Made To Strip In Police Station, Beaten Up

“From UP’s Ballia to Delhi, From Tripura to now Madhya Pradesh. The assault on journalists just doesn’t stop. Just few days ago, a journalist who reported on Paper leak issue in Uttar Pradesh’s ballia was arrested by police. Today, a picture has come to fore. This picture is going viral on social media with a post. The post claims that some journalists in Madhya Pradesh were arrested by police and made to strip. The picture shows some eight men standing in police station with only their undergarments on. The men were not only forced to be half naked but allegedly they were also beaten up by the police. The incident allegedly happened on 2 April in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh.

The incident has led to outrage in the Journalist community.

According to reports, the said incident took place on April 2nd. A local journalist Kanishk Tiwari who runs a youtube channel named MP Snadesh, had gone to cover the arrest of theatre artist Neeraj Kunder. Kunder was arrested for allegedly making indecent remarks about BJP MLA Kedarnath Shukla and his son Guru Dutt using a fake ID. Neeraj Kunder is the director of Indravati Natya Samiti in Sidhi district, and has reportedly been working to saving the art of Vindhyas.

As per reports, Kunder had created a fake Facebook ID in the name of Anurag Mishra. Upon his arrest, many people, including Kunder’s parents and Tiwari, had gone to the police station.
