A dense fog engulfed hundreds of flights, and several trains were delayed across North India in multiple states like Delhi as a cold wave continued in the region, which led to less visibility. The Fog affected road traffic; two people were killed in an accident on a highway in Harayan’s Hisar.

On Saturday morning, the visibility of Delhi Airport’s runway was zero. The flight operations were temporarily put on hold. 15 Fligts were diverted from the Delhi airport between 12:15 am to 1:30 am, over 520 flights were delayed, and around 60 were cancelled due to the prevailing conditions.

The airport authorities said, “Due to dense Fog , flight operations have been affected at the airport. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information”.

Airlines issued advisories to the travellers stating, “Poor visibility due to dense fog is impacting flight operations in Delhi and parts of North India”.

Fog also disrupted train schedules and road traffic, which is causing inconvenience for the people. Four people were killed due to less visibility on the road due to the thick Fog in Haryana’s Hisar.

Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Lucknow, Agra, Karnal, Ghaziabad, Amritsar, Jaipur and many other locations, vehicles are moving at extremely slow speeds due to a dip in visibility.
