On Thursday, Aaditya Thackeray, MLA of the Opposition party Shiv Sena (UBT), met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai.
This is the third meeting between the leaders since the Government was formed.
Aaditya Thackeray wrote on the social media platform X, Today we met with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ji, raising a few very important issues with him,” adding to that these included water access for all and housing for retired police personnel and a request that a policy for the reduction of premiums on the conversion of collector land to freehold land be brought in at the earliest. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray brought a water-for-all policy during the Vikas Aghadi government that ensures every house in Mumbai would get water, irrespective of their legal status, as a right”, the former minister wrote.
The tweet read, “The earlier unconstitutional regime of Eknath Shinde had given a ‘stay’ to this policy. We humbly request that this policy be implemented again so that all Mumbaikars can benefit. We also requested that the penalty for retired police families staying in police quarters be reduced or reduced, and permanent homes should be provided for retired police personnel in Mumbai. The MVA had made a provision of Rs 600 crore for new police housing. There were also plans for new police quarters in Worli, Mahim, Naigaon and Kurla, which have been pending for two years now. All these policies and plans need to be revived,” the tweet read.
