Amit Shah Breaks Silence On Maharashtra Impass, Says “No 50:50 Deal For CM”

The BJP president Amit Shah has for the first time broken his silence on the Maharashtra political crisis. He said the Shiv Sena’s claim that it was promised rotational chief ministership after winning the Maharashtra elections was not correct. He also said that the party’s age-old ally had simply come up with post-electoral conditions that could not be accepted. He said, “Before the elections, both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he himself had said many times in public that Devendra Fadnavis will be the Chief Minister if the alliance wins. Nobody objected back then. Now they have come up with new demands that are not acceptable to us,”
