Vikram Misri Takes Charge As India’s Foreign Secretary

Vikram Misri, an experienced diplomat of the Indian Foreign Service, has taken office today as India’s new Foreign Secretary. His career includes ambassadorships to Beijing, Spain, and Myanmar, along with serving as private secretary to three Indian Prime Ministers. External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar took to X to congratulate Misri, wishing him a “productive and successful tenure”.

The new rates, increasing fees by Rs 20 to Rs 40, are set to take effect pending government notification.
