Mumbai: A 6-year-old child named Kirti Dubey wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the hardship she is facing due to price rise, reported TOI.

The letter written by the girl has gone viral on social media. The class 1 student, of Chhibramau town of Kannauj district in her letter addressing the PM mentioned in Hindi, “My name is Kriti Dubey. I study in class 1. Modi ji, you have caused a huge price increase. My pencil and eraser have also become more expensive and Maggi’s price has also increased. Now my mother is beating me because I wanted a pencil. What should I do? Other students steal my pencil. ”

The viral letter on social media has been posted the the prime minister, confirmed her father who is an advocate. “It’s my daughter’s `Mann Ki Baat’. She got annoyed recently recently when her mother scolded her when she lost her pencil in school,” he told TOI.

Ashok Kumar, the SDM of Chhibrau, told TOI that he found out about this little girl’s letter through social media platforms.
“Alone at this stage, I am ready to help the child in any way and I will also do my best to ensure that his letter reaches the competent authorities,” the SDM added.

Kolkata: West Bengal is set to get seven new districts with the cabinet giving its nod to the proposal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Monday. The new districts — Berhampore, Kandi, Sunderbans, Bashirhat, Ichamati, Ranaghat, and Bishnupur — will take the total number to 30.”The state cabinet okayed the proposal today,” Ms. Banerjee said while interacting with the media in Kolkata.

The TMC supremo further said “Earlier there were 23 districts in Bengal, now it has been increased to 30. The seven new districts include Sunderban, Ichhamati, Ranaghat, Bishnupur, Jangipur, Behrampur, and one more district will be named Basirhat”.

According to a senior official of the West Bengal government “The decision was taken to ensure smooth administrative operations.”
