Uddhav Thackeray said, “The government should first declare the date of temple construction, rest of the talks can be saved for later.”
Ayodhya| Shivsena chief Uddhav Thackeray demanded the announcement of Ram Mandir construction date from the government on Saturday. Thackeray who is on a two-day visit to Ayodhya demanding construction of Ram Temple said that he and his party want to know the date of temple construction.
Asserting his slogan, he said, “The government should first declare the date of temple construction, rest of the talks can be saved for later.” Ahead of his Ayodhya rally, the party had coined a new slogan: “Har Hindu ki Yahi pukar, Pehle Mandir fir Sarkar” (Every Hindu has only one demand, first temple then government).
Humein aaj mandir banne ki tareekh chahiye. Pehle mandir kab banaoge wo batao, baaki baatein to baad me hoti rahengi. Aaj mujhe tareekh chahiye: Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray in Ayodhya pic.twitter.com/U68rsl5y4Y

The slogan was an alleged dig at the incumbent BJP government which had promised to build the Ram Temple. Earlier, Shivsena had called BJP’s promise of constructing Ram Mandir a “Jumla”.
Addressing a gathering of supporters here, Thackeray said that he has come to Ayodhya to wake up the sleeping Kumbhakarna (BJP). Making his party’s stand clear on the issue, he said that his party will support the BJP if it brings an ordinance on Ram Mandir. “Every Hindu wants that Ram Mandir be constructed. If BJP brings an ordinance on Ram Temple construction, we will support them.”
Uddhav Thackeray is expected to address a rally tomorrow. VHP and RSS who are supporting the Ram mandir demand have organized Dharma Sabha on Sunday.
