“People Are Not Listening, We Are Compelled,” Uddhav Thackeray Imposes Curfew In Maharashtra

Uddhav Thackeray said, “It is really a warning bell. We need to exercise complete restraint at this time, otherwise, we will regret it forever.”

Mumbai| Despite the continuous increase in the number of coronavirus patients in Maharashtra, people are not taking the decision of lockdown seriously. Given this, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today said that he is forcing orders to impose curfew in the entire state. He said, “I am forced to announce statewide curfew. People are not ready to listen and we are helpless.” He said that yesterday we had sealed the border of the state, today we have sealed the border of the districts. “Now we will not allow it to spread in those districts where it has not been affected yet,” Thackeray said.

The CM of Maharashtra said that essential things like grocery, milk, bakery, medical services will continue. People need not panic. All religious places will also remain closed. Only the saints and clerics will be able to go inside them.

The Chief Minister said, “We will not tolerate crowds at public places at any cost. No one will be allowed to roam the streets except in an emergency. If these guidelines are violated then people will have to face legal action.” He said that all necessary services, medical stores, veterinarians and their shops will remain open during the curfew.
