Madhya Pradesh Election 2018

PM Modi attacks Cong for comparing sliding rupee with his mother

“The 125 crore people of the country are the high-command of my government,” PM Modi added hitting out at Sonia Gandhi.

Chhatarpur| Prime minister Narendra Modi lashed out at Congress on Saturday for comments on his mother. He said that Congress has no issues to talk about in the poll-bound state and thus it is resorting to the abuses on his mother. He was addressing a rally in MP’s Chhatarpur.

Recently, Congress UP chief Raj Babbar in a rally in Indore had compared the plummeting value of Rupee to that of the age of PM Modi’s Mother.

Hitting out at the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, he said that unlike the UPA era, his government is not “remote controlled by a madam”. “The 125 crore people of the country are the high-command of my government,” he added.

PM Modi also invoked Bofors Scam and the 1984 Bhopal Gas tragedy. Modi said that Congress shouldn’t be worried about Madhya Pradesh people calling Shivraj Chouhan “Mama”. “Why don’t you remember (Ottavio) Quattrocchi mama and Warren Anderson (then chairman of the Union Carbide) mama,” he said.

Pointing out the Congress’ exile from the power in Madhya Pradesh for 15 years, Modi said the party’s divisive politics is the reason why it was not voted back to power.
