NEW DELHI| The violent cash between Indian Army and Chinese troops leads to death of 20 Indian soldiers. Following the news, a protest broke out in different states against China and some demonstrators even burned photos and effigies of Chinese President Xi Jinping. Ten protesters were detained in Delhi.
ABVP supporters started a demonstration outside the Chinese consulate in Kolkata. While sitting on a road in front of the office, the ABVP members chanted slogans against China and also showed posters condemning the Chinese government.
Protesters from Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (SJM) gathered near the Teen Murti roundabout in Delhi to protest against China. Delhi Police detained 10 of the protesters.
Delhi Police has said 6-7 Army veterans had gathered near the Chinese embassy in Delhi to protest under the banner of Martyr’s Welfare Association. They were requested to disperse from the spot and they left immediately.
