G7 Decide To Continue Evacuation After August 31, US To Withdraw Troops On Deadline

US President Joe Biden has told G7 countries that American troops will leave Afghanistan by August 31 in any case. “

The world’s seven largest economies (G7) on Monday told the Taliban in no uncertain terms that they would continue to evacuate people trapped in Afghanistan even after August 31. The group includes countries from the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan.

The group said that it is our responsibility to ensure the safety of life of the people of Afghanistan. “We will try to hold the Taliban accountable for terrorism and human rights, including women’s rights,” the G7 said. Meanwhile, the European Union has demanded that US President Joe Biden keep US troops stationed at Kabul airport until the rescue operation is completed.

Joe Biden firm on his decision

US President Joe Biden has told G7 countries that American troops will leave Afghanistan by August 31 in any case. “The operation of Kabul airport is being monitored by our military at the moment, but the situation there is such that there could be a major terrorist attack on them at any time,” Biden said adding, “It would be better for us to get out of there on time.”

Taliban warns against violating August 31 Deadline

Biden’s statement came as Taliban spokesmen have been warning the United States to leave the country on time for the past two days. G7 countries have asked the US to keep troops in the war torn country even after August 31. Many countries find it difficult to get people out of Afghanistan by August 31.
