Another conspiracy to kill Modi? Video shows Tej Bahadur Yadav allegedly asking 50 crores to kill Modi

Tej Bahadur Yadav admitted that the man in the video is him. However, he said that the video is doctored and denied involvement in a conspiracy to kill Modi.

New Delhi| In a shocking incident, a video has surfaced in which a man is seen claiming that he will kill PM Modi for Rupees 50 crores. Allegedly, the video is of ex-BSF Jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav who had filed his nomination from Varanasi to contest against PM Modi on Samajwadi Party ticket. However, his nomination was cancelled by the Election Commission last week.

Responding to the allegations, Tej Bahadur Yadav denied being involved in any conspiracy to kill Modi. He said that the video is doctored. However, he admitted that the man in the video is him. Tej Bahadur Yadav said that the video was two years old. He claimed that the video was shot when he was arrested by the Delhi police after he staged a protest at Jantar-Mantar in 2017 after he was dismissed from the BSF.

Tej Bahadur admitted that he has seen that video. He said the constable that shot the video had spoken to him and Yadav had discussed several issues related to soldiers with him. “But I never spoke about any plot of the assassination of Prime Minister. The video is doctored,” said Tej Bahadur.

Here is the video:

He also alleged that the constable tried to extort money from him and threatened to circulate the doctored videos. He said that the constable offered him to get involved in financial irregularities through Fauzi Ekta Nyay Kalyan Manch. Tej Bahadur Yadav said that when he refused to do so, the constable made 30 such doctored videos of him and threatened to spread them if he does not pay him Rupees 50 Lakh.

Reacting to the video clip, shocked BJP demanded a thorough probe into the matter. BJP spokesperson G V L Narasimha Rao recalled that last year Maharashtra Police had unearthed a conspiracy by “urban Naxals” to kill PM Modi. Rao said all democratically-spirited individuals and parties should condemn such violent plans.
