“Critics Of Savarkar Should Spend Two Days In Andaman Jail”: Sanjay Raut

Sanjay Raut said that Savarkar’s critics should spend two days in the Andaman jail. Only then will they realize Savarkar’s sacrifice and his contribution to the nation.

Mumbai| ShivSena spokesman and MP Sanjay Raut on Saturday said that those who oppose Veer Savarkar, irrespective of any party or ideology, should stay in the egg cell of Andaman’s cellular jail for at least two days. His latest dig comes days after the controversy erupted over Rahul Gandhi’s statement that he is not Savarkar.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi at a rally slamming PM Modi had said that his name is Rahul Gandhi and not Rahul Savarkar. This statement had snowballed into a massive controversy sparking ‘I am Savarkar’ campaign by the Maharashtra BJP.

Recently, the statement came into the light once again as NSUI students protested against Director of Theatre Arts of Mumbai University, Yogesh Soman for his video criticising Rahul Gandhi.

Speaking about the matter, Sanjay Raut said that Savarkar’s critics should spend two days in the Andaman jail. “Only then will they realize Savarkar’s sacrifice and his contribution to the nation,” he said.
