Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanthโ€™s Twitter Account Hacked, Now Restored

Lucknow: Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, had his Twitter account hacked on Saturday. The UP CMO accountโ€™s profile photo was altered to a cartoonist monkey, and the post was published on a guide named โ€œHow to convert your BAYC/MAYC animated on Twitter,โ€ indicating that the account had been hacked.

The unidentified hackers also posted a thread of some random tweets on the UP CMO account.

However, the account has now been restored. The UP CMO has 4 million followers on the microblogging site.

The hackers had previously attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modiโ€™s Twitter account in December of last year. The hackers claimed that India had โ€œformally recognised bitcoin as legal tenderโ€ in a tweet from the Prime Ministerโ€™s Twitter account. โ€œThe government has officially acquired 500 BTC and is giving them to all residents of the country,โ€ the hackers stated, sharing a link and urging people to โ€œhurry up.โ€

Constitution has no place for violence: President Kovind

TestHostEntry

Jagdalpur | President Ram Nath Kovind said today that there is no place for violence in Constitution, as he remembered sacrifices made by security forces involved in anti-naxal operations in Chhattisgarh.

He also lauded efforts made by people and the government to win over the confidence of youth misguided by the outlawed Maoist movement and to check terror and violence. โ€œIn some parts of the country, few people misguided by naxalism tried to create an environment of violence and fear. Our culture and tradition and, above all, our Constitution do not have any place for violence,โ€ he said.

He was addressing a gathering after dedicating to the nation the newly-built hospital building of Lt Baliram Kashyap Memorial Medical College at Dimrapal village in Chhattisgarhโ€™s Bastar district. The president said he was happy to know that the administration and โ€œsensible peopleโ€ of the society have won the confidence of misguided youth (referring to naxals).

They have made efforts through non-violence coupled with developmental activities to curb the menace of violence and terror, he said. He appreciated the Chhattisgarh government and the Centre for their efforts to bring about development in the naxal-affected regions and also hailed peopleโ€™s support to it.

โ€œI also salute the supreme sacrifices made by the police and paramilitary personnel in naxal-affected regions while ensuring security to people and protecting the stateโ€™s integrity,โ€ Kovind said. โ€œToday is Kargil Vijay Diwas and I also salute the Indian Army and its families for their sacrifices,โ€ he added.

Hailing the stateโ€™s Raman Singh governmentโ€™s development-oriented initiatives in Bastar, the president said the region has witnessed a remarkable transformation, which is evident by roads, educational institutions, Internet connectivity and other facilities set up in the area.
