Army Cancels 400 Drone Contracts Over Use Of Chinese Parts

The Army has cancelled the Contract worth Rs 230 crore for procuring 400 drones over the alleged use of Chinese components.

The contracts were for 200 medium-altitude drones, 100 heavyweight drones, and 100 lightweight logistics drones.

Due to the concern about using Chinese manufacturing parts the deal was hold from August 2024.

As per the defence sources in an investigation, it has revealed that electronic parts which are embedded in the drones are chineses-origin. Which could pose a serious threat to national security.
