France Sends Military Resources To West Asia | Israel | Iran

France has announced that it would send more military resources to West Asia to address the Iranian threat. It has also called a United Nations Security Council meeting for later in the day following Iranโ€™s launch of missiles at Israel last night.

The French Presidency, in a statement, said: โ€œCommitted to Israelโ€™s security, France today mobilized its military resources in the Middle East to counter the Iranian threat.โ€
โ€œThe head of state also reiterated Franceโ€™s demand that Hezbollah cease its terrorist actions against Israel and its population.โ€

Besides, US President Joe Biden has ordered the US military to โ€œaid Israelโ€™s defenseโ€ and shoot down any and all Iranian missiles targeting Israel, the White House said. It further said: โ€œPresident Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee in next monthโ€™s US presidential election, are both monitoring Iranโ€™s attack on Israel from the White House situation room.โ€

Around 32 casualties have been reported in Israeli strikes in southern Gaza overnight and into Wednesday, according to Palestinian medical officials.

The European Hospital in the hard-hit city of Khan Younis said it received the bodies after heavy Israeli airstrikes and ground operations in the city. It said the dead include several women and children, and that dozens of people were injured.
