Bihar DGP Alleges IPS Officer In Mumbai To Investigate Sushant Singh Rajput Case “Forcibly Quarantined”

Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey tweeted, “IPS officer Vinay Tiwari arrived in Mumbai from Patna on official duty but he was forcibly quarantined by BMC officials.”

 

Mumbai | There are new twists and turns being witnessed in the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case every day. Now Maharashtra and Bihar Police are seen coming face to face in the investigation of the case. Patna’s SP Vinay Tiwari, who arrived in Mumbai on Sunday for investigation, was quarantined by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). A Home quarantine stamp has been put on his hand, he has been asked to stay in a house until further orders. This means he will no longer be able to meet anyone for investigation.

Bihar Police Alleges – quarantined forcibly

Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey tweeted, “IPS officer Vinay Tiwari arrived in Mumbai from Patna on official duty to lead the police team, but he was forcibly quarantined by BMC officials at 11 pm. Despite the request, arrangements were not made to stay in his IPS mess. They are now housed in a guest house in Goregaon. I will talk to the DGP of Maharashtra on this.”

BMC clarifies – quarantined according to rules

On the other hand, BMC issuing a clarification said that Tiwari was quarantined following government orders and according to the rules. If any symptoms of coronavirus are seen in him, then a swab test will also be done.

Bihar Police is searching for Rhea Chakraborty

Earlier, Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey while talking to a private channel said that Rhea Chakraborty has been missing for three-four days and her phone is also switched off. “We want Rhea to come forward and join the investigation. We want to ask them some questions. It is not that we will hang her as soon as she comes forward,” Pandey said.

Coordination in Mumbai Police and Bihar Police: Vinay Tiwari

Talking to reporters at Mumbai airport on Sunday, IPS Vinay Tiwari had said that there is complete coordination between Mumbai Police and Bihar Police. Tiwari said, “It is not that there was no coordination. Our team has been working here for the last week. Because there is a process of investigation and its next step is Supervision. For this, if a senior officer has to come, I was sent here in that order.”
