New Delhi| The Centre government on Friday made new additions to the list of exercises to be allowed in ‘non-hotspots’ after April 20 amid the national lockdown to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The government had previously released revised guidelines to be followed during the lockdown on April 15, a day after PM Narendra Modi announced the extension till May 3.
In a letter to the states and UTs, the Home Ministry said that non-banking financial institutions & microfinance corporations will be allowed to operate with minimum staff.

According to a notification put out by the home ministry, construction in rural areas of water supply and sanitation and laying of power lines and telecom optical fibres and cables will also be allowed.
Mobile phones, televisions, refrigerators, laptops, clothes and stationery items for schoolchildren can be sold on e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal, along with essential commodities like groceries and medicines, the government said last night.
Delivery vans of the e-commerce companies would, however, need permission from authorities to operate on roads.
COVID-19 cases in India have surged to 13,387 including 437 deaths, according to the health ministry figures released on Friday morning.
The total cases include 11,201 active cases,1,749 cured or discharged and 1 migrated.

Maharashtra has recorded 194 fatalities, the highest in the country, followed by Madhya Pradesh at 53, Gujarat 36, Delhi 38 and Telengana 18.
The highest number of confirmed cases in the country are also from Maharashtra at 3,205. It is followed by Delhi at 1,640 and Tamil Nadu at 1,267. COVID-19 cases have gone up to 1131 in Rajasthan followed by 1,120 in Madhya Pradesh, 930 in Gujarat and 805 in Uttar Pradesh.
