New Delhi | Taking revenge of the Pulwama terror attack around 12 IAF Mirage 2000 aircraft dropped 1000 kg bombs on the terror camps across the Line of Control (LOC) in Pakistan.
As reported by News Agency ANI citing Indian Air Forces Sources (IAF) that around 0330 hours on 26th February a group of Mirage 2000 Indian Fighter jets struck a major terrorist camp across the LoC and completely destroyed it. IAF sources further added that the Air strike has completely destroyed the Balakot, Chakothi and Muzaffarabad terror launch pads across the LOC while the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) control rooms also destroyed.” According to government sources, the initial assessment of the damage caused at the terror camp could be around 200 to 300 casualties.
Meanwhile the Pakistani Army had denied any such operation. Pakistan Army Spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor has claimed that Indian Air Force has intruded from Muzaffarabad sector. Taking on Twitter he wrote,”Indian Air Force violated Line of Control. Pakistan Air Force immediately scrambled. Indian aircrafts gone back. Indian aircrafts intruded from Muzafarabad sector. Facing timely and effective response from Pakistan Air Force released payload in haste while escaping which fell near Balakot. No casualties or damage.”

He further claimed that the Air Strike by the Indian Air Force failed to cause any damage as the payload of hastily escaping Indian aircrafts fell in an open area.

40 CRPF personnel were killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district when a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist identified as Adil Ahmed rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the bus they were travelling in. More than 2,500 Central Reserve Police Force personnel, many of them returning from leave to rejoin duty in the Valley, were travelling in the convoy of 78 vehicles when they were ambushed on the Srinagar-Jammu highway at Latoomode in Awantipora.
